Athletics
| SAR High School also hosts the annual David Cooper Girls’ Basketball Tournament – an invitational that brings various girls’ varsity teams from around the country to SAR for a four day retreat. The tournament provides a great forum for the students to meet others with similar interests and an opportunity to further develop skills and engage in competitive basketball. |
The athletics program at SAR emphasizes the importance of physical fitness, health and the appreciation of our bodies as tzelem elokim, created in the image of G_d. Our program encourages exercise, personal responsibility and hygiene. The program fosters teamwork, sportsmanship and a healthy spirit of competition and discipline, midot and sportsmanship.
In the High School, we field athletic teams in all competitive sports offered in the Yeshiva League. All students may participate in one spring sport and one fall sport. With special permission, students may participate in two sports per season.
